In a special edition of AOTMP® Insights, the publication celebrates 22 women who have made notable contributions in technology, highlighting their unique journeys and expertise. Among these featured leaders is Laura Queen, Founder and CEO of 29Bison, who shares her perspective on the impact of intangible capital in organizational success. Queen's insights emphasize the often-overlooked assets within a company—such as culture, institutional knowledge, and professional relationships—that play a crucial role, especially during pivotal transitions like mergers and acquisitions. With her extensive background in human capital consulting, Queen advocates for a data-driven approach to managing human assets, stressing that these intangible factors are integral to driving business outcomes. Her work at 29Bison is focused on ensuring that companies understand the value of their workforce and prioritize human elements, which can make or break the success of M&A activities.
Queen’s leadership exemplifies a new era in HR and technology consulting, where human capital considerations are integrated into high-level business strategy. Her contributions underscore the importance of aligning people-focused initiatives with broader organizational goals, inspiring other women in tech to pursue similar paths that connect human capital with business success. This feature in AOTMP® Insights not only celebrates Queen’s achievements but also highlights the increasing acknowledgment of intangible assets in the business world. AOTMP® has committed to using this platform to promote gender diversity in technology by amplifying voices like Queen’s, fostering industry growth, and advancing discussions on the value of inclusion and diversity. This edition serves as both a recognition of individual accomplishments and a call to action for the tech community to prioritize diversity, equity, and the human side of technology in their own organizations.
